God's Gifts

Ok, does this ever happen to you...you make a plan and then get sick!!  That is what happened to me this weekend.  On Friday I went to my friends and we took pictures and everything to start p90x which I'm super excited about.  And on Friday I was hit with a cold that has lasted the whole weekend.  I'm hoping by the morning I'm going to feel 100% better.
But one thing good came out of being sick I watched 3 really good movies that really touched me.  My favorite was "Gifted Hands" the true story of Dr. Ben Carson...what an inspiring movie.  This is a great family movie and for singles too!  I know that God has given each one of us gifts to use here on this earth...but I know that I'm not using mine and this movie has inspired me to find my gift (seek and you shall find).

Making Good Choices,

  1. Michelle I was just trying to decide whether or not to buy Gifted Hands for my Kindle - the book is at the Christian Store but I'm putting more on my Kindle these days for storage purposes. What is p90x? blessings, marlene

  2. Oh, I'll have to get that to watch. Gene loves Dr. Carson's story. He has his books if you ever want to read them. Let me know when you can come over for movie night, but instead of ice cream will get some fruit! :)
    Love you,

  4. Hey, Michelle! I am a friend of your sister's, and I wanted to come by and say "hey!" Your blog is wonderful, chickdadee! You're sharing your heart, and it is beautiful! I am so proud that you are starting a fitness plan--you can do it! Even though you're sick (if you are not running a fever!!), you can walk the treadmill or do the elliptical. When I feel yucky, I still try to do something (even if only for 10 minutes!!)

I have not seen this movie that you were writing about! Sounds wonderful!
Come by and visit my blog if you get a minute.

    Hope you feel better soon!

    Hugs!

  7. I've never heard of this movie.

I can't move and get off the couch when I'm sick let alone lift a foot in purposeful exercise.

    It's okay.

  8. Hi Michelle,

Just droppin in to see how things are going!
I hadn't heard of the movie, ... sounds interesting! Love hearing good reviews before hand coz there are so many nasty ones anymore.

I think it's wonderful that you're seeking to find the gifts God breathed into you.
He made you uniquely you; on purpose- for purpose.

    Have a great day today!

  10. Hi Michelle! I have gotten to know your sister Lelia through blogging. I too have a sister named Michelle!!

    YOU are so beautiful!!

I have only read a few of your posts...i will be back to read more. I understand your weight struggle along with the other "good-choices" struggles. It is tough. We are all such works-in-progress. I guess my only advice would be to expect to have setbacks and pick yourself up when they happen and keep on trying. In the past I have had trouble with the "pick-myself up" part!! :)

    Have a blessed day!!

    Kim from PA

**ps I have a blog but have not been real faithful with it.
